Approval of Change Order #3 – Tricon Construction Group – Water Treatment Facility Upgrade — E-3

1-hr rated fire wall assemblies will only be required for the (3) control areas in the Main RO Building. Assembly drawings have been revised and provided for your review. (MSA) 5) NOTE: Multiple locations in the proposed plans refer to “Existing” and “New” buildings. For clarification, all codes and standards shall be applied to this project such that the “new” areas added on to the water treatment plant are appropriately treated as “ADDITIONS” to an existing building, NOT “new” buildings. The 3-hour rated Fire Wall will provide for structural independence and separate Fire Areas, but it is still one building. (The clear well IS a separate building and structure.) <7/22/25 NS> Structural: 1) Submit all technical (shop) drawings for project including Rebar, Pre-Cast package, Fire Suppression, Fire Alarm, Wall Panels, Trusses (Include Fire Wall parapet design if part of trusses). Truss layout shall call out all point loads >/= 5klb and uplift values that exceed the typical hold-downs specified), Please note that per IAC 542B.16, technical drawings shall be sealed by the qualified design professional that is responsible for each submittal. <7/21/2025 NS> MSA will provide approved shop drawings for the rebar, precast building, and trusses for your review. (MSA) 2) Verify structural independence of structures on both sides of Fire Wall per 2018 IBC 706.2 and 1604.5.1. Provide details as needed to demonstrate integrity of Fire Wall with collapse of structure on either side. <7/21/2025 NS> 3-hr rated firewall is no longer included in the design. (MSA) 3) Sheet 99S601 references 2015 IBC and ASCE 7-10. Please update all structural analysis and data throughout the proposed plans to be per 2018 IBC and ASCE 7-16. <7/21/2025 NS> Plan sheet has been revised to read “2018 IBC”. The structural requirements are not affected by this change. (MSA) 4) Submit Statement of Special Inspections (SSI) for all special inspections required per Chapter 17 of the IBC. This includes but is not limited to concrete, anchors, epoxy, masonry, bolting, welding, and erection of pre-cast. <7/21/2025 NS> SSI document has been included. (MSA) 5) Provide confirmation letter from Special Inspection agency confirming contract for SSI requirements. <7/21/2025 NS> N/A per our phone conversation. (MSA) 6) Submit Geotechnical Soil Report to verify design Soil Bearing Capacity is met on site. <7/21/2025 NS> The geotechnical report was provided in the contract specifications.
