Tiffin City Council February 14, 2001 A regular meeting of the Tiffin City Council was brought to order by Mayor Glenn R. Potter, 6:30 p.m., Wednesday, February 14, 2001 at the Tiffin Fire Station. Council present: Mike Gericke, Rodney Walls, Karin Dils and Jim Bartels. Absent: Mike Ryan. Also present: Planning and Zoning Members Steve Berner and Melvin Reeve. Engineer Mike Hart, Attorney Greenleaf, Ed Cole, Gene Charbon and newspaper reporter Mike Knock. Motion Walls, second Bartels to approve printed minutes and agenda. Ayes: Gericke, Bartels, Walls, and Dils. Absent: Ryan. Motion carried. Motion Bartels, second Gericke to approve Fire Agreement with the Tiffin Fire Association and contribution of $13,000, $20,000 and $27,000 for each of the next three years. Ayes: Gericke, Walls, Dils and Bartels. Motion carried. Ordinance for Zoning changes in Tiffin Edge area is set for upcoming agenda for March. Motion Bartels, second Gericke to approve RESOLUTION #2001-4 RESOLUTION APPROVING AMENDMENT TO CITY OF TIFFIN FRINGE AREA MAP recommended for approval by the Tiffin Planning and Zoning and to present same with Johnson County officials for agreement. Ayes: Bartels, Dils, Gericke and Walls. Motion carried. Motion Gericke, second Dils to approve a RESOLUTION #2001-5 RESOLUITION APPROVING NEW CITY OF TIFFIN GROWTH LAND USE AREA MAP recommended for approval by the Tiffin Planning and Zoning Commission. Ayes: Gericke, Walls, Dils and Bartels. Absent: Ryan. Motion carried. Motion Gericke, second Dils to approve an additional setback requirement along Hwy#6 including and above current requirement from the intersection of Roberts Ferry Road eastward to Main Street. Ayes: Dils, Gericke, Bartels, Walls. Absent: Ryan. Motion carried. Motion Walls, second Gericke to approve proposed budget for year ending June 30, 2002 and setting date for public hearing for March 14, 2001, 6:30 p.m. at the Tiffin Fire Station. Ayes: Walls, Bartels, Dils and Gericke. Absent: Ryan. Motion carried. Motion Walls, second Bartels to approve a RESOLUTION #2001-6, RESOLUTION APPROVING PAY RAISES TO PUBLIC WORKS DIRECTOR TO $40,872.00/ANNUM, CITY CLERK TO $35,107.80/ANNUM AND PUBLIC WORKS ASSISTANT TO $24,960.00/ANNUM, all commencing July 1, 2001 with no change in benefits including single medical and dental insurance. Ayes: Gericke, Walls, Bartels. Absent: Ryan. Abstain: Dils. Motion carried.
