Johnston: Landowners own up to the center of the road. County has easement for right of way. Sessions: If someone decided to straighten the road out, it comes off someone's property. Johnston: The easement is clear. Sessions: Could start from new point if widen road. Johnston: City would not be likely to do that. Stoffer: (The "L"-shaped tract is) 200 feet wide and 400-500 feet long. We did it only to satisfy Mr. Johnston. Golleran: There's a real discrepancy. We're talking about annexing 50,000 square feet on east side of road, but in order to do that, you'll be annexing at least twice that much on the west side of road. Sessions: I don't want to be in the city. Johnston: None of the arguments you have made, none of the rights you have have, are in any way affected by this particular request other than that this annexation will have a snowball affect on the council. Citizen: Council needs to know how we feel. Johnston: I understand that. But you don't feel this way about this particular piece of property. Rohret: Water pressure is low on the hill now and they're concerned about adding more to it. Johnston: It would have the same affect as someone building on any vacant lot in town. Rohret: No, it wouldn't. Stoffer: From an engineering standpoint this is correct. The service in one area in this type of system would have a minor effect. Johnston: One 1 1/2 inch line would do the same as any other 1 1/2 inch line. Williams: Theoretically it's not supposed to have any effect, but it does. Rohret: Don't get water directly from the tower. It goes down to the plant first. It would adversely affect us. Cox: Anyone else have anything to say?
