Minutes-11/8/2000

On the 11th day of October, 2000, at a regular meeting of the Tiffin City Council, Tiffin, Iowa, Councilperson Ryan, second Gericke moved that Ordinance No. 2000-236, ZONING CHANGES IN ROLLING HILLS FROM R-2 TO R-2.5 OF CERTAIN LOTS, be read introduced and read for the first time, discussed and placed on file. Ayes: Walls, Gericke, Bartels, Dils and Ryan. On November 8, 2000 at a regular meeting of the Tiffin City Council, it was moved by Councilperson Ryan and seconded by Councilperson Dils that the laws and rules providing that ordinances be considered and voted on for passage at two council meetings prior to the meeting at which it is to be finally passed be suspended and dispensed with and that Ordinance No. 2000-236 be placed on its last reading. Ayes Ryan, Bartels, Dils, Gericke and Walls. Nays: None. Absent: None. Five members of the council being present and having voted “Aye”, Mayor Glenn R. Potter declared the motion carried and Ordinance No. 2000-236, was then placed on its last reading and was read for the last time. Thereupon, it was moved by Councilperson Gericke, and seconded by Councilperson Ryan that Ordinance No. 2000-236, ZONING CHANGES IN ROLLING HILLS, and including recommendations as provided by city engineer review be placed upon its final passage and adopted. Ayes: Walls, Dils, Gericke, Bartels, and Ryan. Five members of the council being present and having voted “Aye”, Mayor Glenn R. Potter declared the motion carried, and the ORDINANCE NO. 2000-236, AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE ZONING ORDINANCE & OFFICIAL ZONING MAP AND PROVIDING FOR ZONING FROM R-2 TO R-2.5 OF CERTAIN LOTS IN ROLLING HILLS SUBDIVISION was adopted. Whereupon the mayor declared that ORDINANCE NO. 2000-236, REZONING CERTAIN LOTS IN ROLLING HILLS SUBDIVISION be adopted and signified his approval of same by fixing his signature thereto. Passed by the council on the 8th day of November, 2000 and approved by the mayor on the 8th day of November, 2000. Motion Walls, second Ryan to approve a RESOLUTION #2000-16, A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FOR VOLUNTARY ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN REAL ESATE. Ayes: Walls, Bartels, Dils, Gericke and Ryan. Motion carried. Motion Bartels, second Dils to close the regular session of the Tiffin City Council for the purpose of conducting a Public Hearing for rezoning request from R-1 to R-2, R-3 and C-2 zoning in a proposed Tiffin Edge subdivision concept plan. Ayes: Walls, Dils, Gericke, Ryan and Bartels. Nays: None. Motion carried.
