No news received on Third & Main Street regarding Johnston. Mr. Johnston present, did not comment.
Gerald Cox reported that seeding in the park would probably be completed when the city gets a motor grader.
Walls reported that he thinks he can get a motor grader including cab, heater and 12-foot blade for under $15,000 that could be used for baseball fields and weeds on Jasper Avenue. Brett Mehmen thinks that he could learn to run the grader. Snow equipment would not be included, and the grader could sit outside this year. Mehmen thinks a shed 40 X 60 could be put up for $20,000 perhaps east of the current sewer plant. The Clerk advised the council that all of this costs could not be paid for in the immediate future and asked that large purchases be spaced out across the year.
Motion Bartels, second Gericke to authorize Walls to negotiate a grader for under $15,000 including cab, heater and 12-foot blade with some kind of stretched out payment plan. Ayes:

Suggested for Park Commissioners are: Rodney Walls, Jerry Cox and Dave Shaeffer.
Kevin and Tom of US cellular were presented lease plans to the city for use of property near the water tower for a communication shelter and tower. Attorney Greenleaf felt that the city could provide easement to the tenants.
