AGENDA ITEM # K-2 DOT, Division 2 funded 100% by the City of Tiffin, and Division 3 stormwater items split 94% Iowa DOT / 6% City. The agreement does not establish the City's final cost at $3,920,988.98. This is an estimate. The City's actual reimbursement will be based on the quantities actually constructed, the accepted bid prices at the time of letting, and any additional work determined to be the City's responsibility. The Iowa DOT will bill the City approximately twice per year, with the first reimbursement anticipated around July 1, 2027. Final billing will occur following completion of construction and verification of the City's total project share. Recommendation Staff requests that the City Council approve Iowa DOT Preconstruction Agreement No. 2026-4- 131 for the U.S. 6 improvements in Tiffin and authorize the Mayor to execute the agreement on behalf of the City.
