Box 259 Tiffin, Iowa 52340-0259 Attn: City Administrator/Clerk Re: Prairie Village, Part Three Subdivision Documents – Tiffin, Iowa City Engineer’s Review Comment Letter Dear Mayor and Council Members: We have reviewed the Preliminary Plat, Stormwater Management plans, and Construction Plans (second submittal), dated 1/6/2022, for Prairie Village Part Three to the City of the Tiffin, Iowa. We offer the following comments and concerns: Preliminary Plat The revised plat meets the requirements of the Subdivision Ordinances Stormwater Management Plan The revisions comply with the Stormwater Ordinance. Plat 3 Townhomes Construction Plans The public portions of the construction meet the requirements the City’s Ordinances and Design Standards for public improvements. Plat 1 Construction Drawings Watermain valves are typically located close as possible to the junction fittings as long as the location does not interfere with street curbs of other such installations, and the City has no requirement to install fittings and valves near individual lot lines. The number and placement of the hydrants and valves do meet the requirements of the City. The construction plans otherwise meet the requirements the City’s Ordinances and Design Standards for public improvements.
