Minutes-9 /14/1977

The Tiffin City Council met in regular session on September 14, 1977 at 7:30 p.m. in City Hall. Mayor Brotherton presiding called roll at 7:45 p.m. Councilmembers present: R. Formanek, J. Stratton; G. Potter and R. Janssen; Absent: T. Morgan. Also present: Barbara Murray. A motion to approve the August 10th regular meeting minutes was made by Potter, seconded by Stratton and carried unanimously. Janssen moved to approve the purchase of three maple trees from Belle Plain Nursery at $187.50 installed per tree. Stratton seconded and motion carried unanimously. Potter moved to raise the Clerk-Treas. salary by a 6.5% increase. Formanek seconded. Potter withdrew the motion. Potter moved to increase the Clerk-Treas. salary to $250.00 per month retroactive to September 1, 1977. Formanek seconded and motion carried as follows: Formanek, aye; Stratton, nay; Janssen, aye and Potter, aye. Stratton moved to accept the following receipts and pay the following bills. Janssen seconded and motion carried unanimously.
