Cox: Put it on the agenda for Monday night's meeting? We'll vote yes or no at that time. Johnston: You're asking me to do a lot of legal work and you might vote it down. I'd like to know now and save myself a lot of time and money. If engineer says "yes", where are we? If engineer says "no", that's o.k. I have a sense of what the council is going to do anyway. Cox: You need three out of five votes. Can't speak for the other councilmen. Johnston: Each of you could say how you feel and not vote on it. Cox: I'm for it. Johnston: Is the water system the major concern of the other two? Brown: I'd like to see the town expand in an organized manner. See results of fringe study first, see water tower in, a lot of things happen before we grow. These next four days isn't going to make any difference to me. This council has just recently really started looking into annexation. I'd like to get a lot more public input. Johnston: What are your thoughts? Brown: I'd say no. Johnsonton: What are your thoughts? Spivey: Right now, no. Sladek: Would you like to withdraw petition or appear on Monday's agenda?
