Text read by the vision model; check the PDF for anything that matters.Bream: Nothing was discussed about accesses or hard surfacing when the new building went in. We made consensus about not expanding the business and not putting in fertilizer.
Potter asked for a motion.
Spivey: I don't want to see any big fence or trees, just control the traffic with something that would not interfere with Fun Day. Put up some posts so traffic can't drive through.
Reta Bream: Is the locker plant hard surfaced on their driveway?
Spivey: Locker was built before any zoning ordinances were in effect and they are not retroactive.
Potter: New ordinances have affected Schneider and Voparil and they have hard surfaced areas.
Morgan: Is it grandfathered in? Was Bream's building there before zoning?
Kern: Only the first building.
Bream: Only first building.
Cox: What is the zoning now?
Kern: A-2, agriculturally related business.
Cox: That does not require paving.
Spivey: No, the council did not cause him to pave it, but it is a business and the council could have caused him to do it.
Potter: If there are more problems, will you do something about it then?
Bream: It's mostly grassy area, except on the east end. What do you want? Posts, fence?
Spivey: Don't want fence, a few open posts would do.
Cox: Maybe the city could use some of its park and recreation money to buy a few trees and plant there.
Bream: Trees probably won't grow. The soil it too hard.
Potter: Where does your property stop?
Bream: Eight to ten feet west of main pole with transformer. I can't afford to do anything now. I have to use it for trucks to unload. Can't block it off solidly. There was a concrete plant there in the past.
Cox: City could buy some evergreen trees.
Bream: I am only opposed to blocking it off so that I can't get a truck in there.
Potter: Only use east end?
Bream: Yes. I unload semis and use it to park my vehicles.
Cox: I could get together with Bream to work something out and report back next month.
Morgan: Let's get it resolved now.
Spivey: I'm not opposed to a driveway. I am opposed to using half of Railroad Street as a driveway.
Bream: Three trees won't stop that.
Spivey: Close it down to the width of a driveway on the east end.
Bream: That won't stop the cars from turning around.
Spivey: I'd like to see it contained somehow. I'm not opposed to a driveway.
Reta Bream: Where will semis go when they get lost
Spivey: That's their problem. There are other places to turn around in town.
