General discussion concerning driveway accesses at Bream Bins and Buildings on Railroad Street. Cox stated that a committee of three councilmembers met with Bream a few months ago but did not report back at a council meeting.
Stevens: Do you always have one driveway roped off?
Bream: No. We had a party last Saturday for Kerrie Boyd and that's why it was roped off.
Potter: Are you having any problem with cars running in and out?
Bream: The sheriff's dept. is the only one who uses it, once a night.
Potter: I appointed committee to resolve this, but it never reported back at a council meeting. People knew the outcome, but it was never in the minutes.
Cox: With Beckler's new business, there should be less traffic using that for turn around. Did the town ever put up a new truck route sign?
Spivey: Yes, a new sign is up. Agreement was made to control traffic and nothing was done about it.
Morgan: I read minutes and did not see where Bream ever acknowledged any discussion about controlling traffic. It was discussed by the council, but Bream did not acknowledge it.
Spivey: It was a gentlemen's agreement - that two accesses would be used for driveways.
Bream: What two accesses? When was this agreed?
Spivey: When the new building went in. Look through the minutes. The council could have required hard surfacing of area for dust control, but it didn't. I went along with that, too.
Bream: I was not required to hard surface at the time. If it was supposed to be hard surfaced, I didn't know it at the time.
Spivey: Other businesses have hard surfaced drives and parking areas. The council did not require it of you.
