Motion Spivey second Runge to approve request for renewal of Class "C" beer permit and Sunday sales permit for Louis oparil of Grandpa's Grocery effective August 8, 1985. Carried unanimously. Mayor appointed Stephen Greenleaf as City Attorney for period of one year beginning July 1, 1985 at $50.00 per hour. Carried unanimously. Motion Cox second Spivey to approve expenditure of up to $75.00 for metal sign to be used as Mayor's Award during the months of April through October denoting outstanding property each month. Sign will be placed in winner's yard on first of each month. Mayor and one member each from the Board of Adjustment and P&Z Commission will vote. Roll call vote: Spivey, aye; Cox, aye; Morgan, aye; Runge, aye. Carried unanimously. Attorney reported that he is still trying to contact proper authority at the railroad about getting rid of deep holes and side tracks. JCCOG will work with Board of Health about matter. Potter reported that Tim Spivey had not yet removed the small trailer from lot by locker plant and attorney had directed him to do so in letter last winter. At that time, Potter talked with Tim's mother who said trailer would be removed when weather got nice. Council consensus to direct Attorney Greenleaf to send letter to Tim Spivey directing him to remove small vacant mobile home from behind his manufactured home at 105 College Street, because it violates the Zoning Ordinance allowing no more than two structures on one lot, before the next regular council meeting (August 14th) or anticipate authority to bring suit to have it removed. Motion Spivey second Morgan to approve clerk-treasurer's reports. Carried unanimously. Motion Morgan second Spivey to approve bills and accept receipts. Carried unanimously.
