Motion Gericke, second Walls that Ordinance No. 1999-230, AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE ZONING ORDINANCE AND PROVIDING FOR A ONE YEAR LIMITATION ON BAORD OF ADJUSTMENT VARIANCES having been read and placed on record be placed upon adoption with roll call: Ayes: Walls, Gericke, Kern and Bartels. Nays: None. Absent: Ryan. Motion carried. Whereupon the Mayor declared the ordinance adopted and signified his approval. Adopted this May 12th, 1999 at the City of Tiffin, Tiffin, Iowa. Dan Swick of South Slope Telephone Company was present to discuss plans to bring new Service to the Tiffin area and review of antennae easement work. Councilmember Ryan arrived at 6:55 p.m. Motion Ryan, second Gericke to approve an easement agreement with South Slope for a antennae on the city water tower upon review of agreement by City Attorney Stephen Greenleaf. Ayes: Ryan, Gericke, Bartels, Kern, and Walls. Motion carried. Motion Ryan, second Gericke to approve a easement agreement fee of $2,000 with Hawkeye land Company, 500 Stickle Drive NE, Cedar Rapids, Iowa for city placement of sewer lines under the rail tracks near the sewer plant. Ayes: Kern, Bartels, Gericke, Ryan and Walls. Motion carried. Motion Ryan, second Kern to approve a RESOLUTION # 1999-20, APPROVING ADDITIONAL STREET LIGHTS WITHIN THE CITY LIMITS OF TIFFIN. Ayes: Bartels, Gericke, Walls, Ryan and Kern. Nays: None. Absent: None. Motion carried. Motion Gericke, second Bartels to approve a RESOLUTION #1999-21, APPROVING AN AGREEMENT WITH SLIM'S TAVERN FOR CLOSING STREET ON MAY 22, 1999. Ayes: Gericke, Walls, Ryan, Kern and Bartels. Motion carried. Motion Ryan, second Walls to approve a RESOLUTION #1999-22, APPROVING AN AGREEMENT WITH SLIM'S TAVERN FOR CLOSING STREET ON JUNE 19, 1999. Ayes: Walls, Ryan, Kern, Bartels, and Gericke. Nays: None. Motion carried. Motion Bartels, second Gericke to table consideration of pay raises to the next regular session of the city council. Ayes: Kern, Gericke, Bartels, Walls, and Ryan. Nays: None. Absent: None. Motion carried. Motion Walls, second Ryan to accept Resolution #1999-23, RESOLUTION ACCEPTING VOLUNTARY ANNEXATION REQUEST FROM GRACE-BACCULIS REAL ESTATE. Ayes: Kern, Bartels, Walls, Gericke and Ryan. Nays: None. Motion carried.
