Tiffin City Council May 12, 1999 A regular meeting of the Tiffin City Council was brought to order May 12, 1999, 6:30 p.m. at the Tiffin Fire Station by Mayor Glenn Potter. Council members present: Jim Bartels, Rodney Walls, Alan Kern, Mike Gericke and Mike Ryan arriving 6:55 p.m. Absent: None. Motion Bartels, second Walls to approve the printed agenda and minutes. Ayes: Gerike, Walls, Kern, and Bartels. Absent: Ryan. Motion carried. A Public Hearing was opened by Mayor Glenn R. Potter at 6:32 p.m. on the Porposed Plans, Specifications, Form of Contract and Estimate Costs for 1999 Wastewater Treatment Project and Open Sealed Proposals. The city will proceed with award of bid at the next upcoming meeting. On the 14th day of April, 1999 at a regular meeting of the Tiffin City Council, Tiffin, Iowa, Councilperson Geircke introduced Ordinance No. 1999-230, an ORDINANCE AMENDING THE ZONING ORDINANCE AND PROVIDING FOR A ONE YEAR LIMITATION ON BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT VARIANCES and moved that it be given its first reading and was then read. On the 12th day of May, 1999 at a regular meeting of the Tiffin City Council, Tiffin, Iowa Councilperson Gericke moved that an Ordinance No. 1999-230, and ORDINANCE AMENDING THE ZONING ORDINANCE AND PROVIDING FOR A ONE YEAR LIMITATION ON BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT VARIANCES, be read the second time and placed upon record. Second by Walls. Whereupon Mayor Glenn R. Potter read the ordinance the second and third time. Ayes: Gericke, Bartels, Kern, Walls. Absent: Ryan. Motion carried. Motion Bartels, second Kern to read an Ordinance no. 1999-230, entitled, AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE ZONING ORDINANCE AND PROVIDING FOR A ONE YEAR LIMITATION ON BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT VARIANCES, a third time and placed upon record. Ayes: Bartels, Gericke, Kern, and Walls. Absent: Ryan. Motion carried.
