Motion Ryan, second Dils to approve Resolution #2000-9, APPROVING PRELIMINARY PLATTING of Rolling Hills Subdivision with inclusion of engineering recommendations, review of water information and requirement of six foot sidewalk on the south side of Goldfinch Drive and city engineer recommendations. Ayes: Bartels, Walls, Reeve, Gericke and Dils. On the 10th day of May, 2001 at a regular meeting of the Tiffin City Council, Tiffin, Iowa Councilperson Dils introduced ORDINANCE NO. 2000-235, AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE ZONING ORDINANCE, AND PROVIDING FOR R-1 AND R-2 ZONING IN ROLLING HILLS SUBDIVISION and moved that it be given its first reading and was then read. Councilperson Gericke seconded the motion. Ayes: Gericke, Bartels, Ryan, Walls, and Dils. Motion carried. Five members of the council being present and having voted "Aye", Mayor Glenn R. Potter declared the motion carried, and ORDINANCE NO. 2000-235, AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR ZONING IN ROLLING HILLS was read the first time and discussed and placed on record. Thereupon, it was moved by Councilperson Walls, and seconded by Councilperson Ryan that the laws and rules providing that ordinances be considered and read at two meetings prior to passage be suspended and dispensed with and that ORDINANCE NO. 2000-235, entitled, AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE ZONING ORDINANCE AND ZONING MAP AND PROVIDING FOR ZONING IN ROLLING HILLS be placed on its last reading. Ayes: Ryan, Walls, Dils, Gericke and Bartels. Motion carried. Five members of the council being present and having voted "Aye", Mayor Glenn R. Potter declared the motion carried and ORDINANCE NO. 2000-235, AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE ZONING ORDINANCE AND OFFICIAL ZONING MAP AND PROVIDING FOR ZONING OF R-1 AND R-2 FOR ROLLING HILLS SUBDIVISION was then placed on its last reading and was read the last time. Thereupon, it was moved by Councilperson Bartels, and seconded by Councilperson Ryan that ORDINANCE NO. 2000-235, entitled, AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE ZONING ORDINANCE AND ZONING MAP AND PROVIDING FOR ZONING IN ROLLING HILLS SUBDIVISION be placed upon its final passage and placed for adoption. Ayes: Ryan, Dils, Walls Bartels, and Gericke. Motion carried. Five members of the city council being present and having voted "Aye", Mayor Glenn R. Potter declared the motion carried, and the ORDINANCE NO. 2000-235, PROVIDING ZONING FOR ROLLING HILLS was passed and adopted.
