Contractor Bill Grace, who was present at the meeting, agreed to view the area and give a bid on cost of the remedial work that the Engineer will recommend. The Council expressed its desire to take immediate steps to determine what needs to be done to correct the problem and to avoid any future flooding at that site. Council considered additional plan ideas provided by Planning and Zoning that will include location of soccer fields on the east end of the park area, play equipment area, and recommendation for an additional egress road for the park. Planning and Zoning has recommended appointment of park commission members including these nominations: Rodney Walls, Jerry Cox, Dave Shaffer, Mark Peterson and Trish Berner.
