Jim working at Rolling Hills asked about the possibility of selling a parcel in Rolling Hills prior to final subdivision of the area. Attorney Greenleaf indicated that sell of a parcel would not be possible until final platting has been approved and recorded. Many of the streets are completed at Rolling Hills, and progress moves forward.
Melvin Reeve explained that weeds on the edge of Jasper Avenue need to be pushed back so that winter snows will not drift into them this winter, also a rock crown is needed in the road. He also explained on the east edge of Rolling Hills, the silt fence is buried in dirt and erosion is a problem. City Engineer will contact the developer about this problem.
Problem with mailboxes and parking on Iris Avenue was presented by Diane Wass and neighbor. Parking switch from east side of street to west side of street was requested. Bartels said that perhaps a cluster box could be located at one end of the block. Wass said she did not think residents wanted to walk that far, and as boxes were already in place, they probably wouldn’t be moved now. Motion Walls, second Gericke to switch the No Parking side to the west side of Iris Avenue due to box problems. Ayes: Bartels, Walls, Gericke, Dils. Absent: Ryan. Motion carried.
Resident of 426 Maddie lane explained run off problems in a cement pad area near his home. A $4,000 estimate has been obtained to construct a retaining wall. Inspector Schott explained that occupancy was granted at this location contingent upon completion of grading work at this home. Attorney Greenleaf will notify builder Pat Wade to complete building requirements.
Resident of 425 Maddie Lane completed about high weeds at a nearby apartment building on Potter Street. Joe Johnston said that he is paying for weekly mowing in this area. Reported that mowing is not occurring each week. Resident also complained that some garbage is being placed out on Sunday prior to Thursday pick up day. Mr. Johnston asked to have help in determining which resident was placing garbage so early in the week, and he would correct this problem. Johnston explained that the buildings were condos.
