Present: Bill Bream, Fred Moore, Ted Spivy, Ned Allen, Ralph Neuzil
Absent: None
The meeting was called to order by Mayor O'Toole, and the minutes of the last meeting were read and approved with the correction in the paragraph sub-titled "Water", the first sentence to read "The 75-year lease for tower site is at the rate of $50.00 per year."
OLD BUSINESS
Water: Mr. Neuzil reported that the lease for the tower site has been approved by the FHH. Mr. Neuzil will immediately notify the school district of our intent to option and will immediately proceed to buy the property and will notify Powers. In regard to the site, Bill Bream talked to Clyde Woolf once more and discussed it with Wayne Reed, per Mr. Herdliska's request. The description of agreement has been read between the Town of Tiffin and the Clear Creek School District (read by Mr. Neuzil). The conditions of the agreement were discussed by the Council and agreed upon with the necessary correction in Paragraph 12. Bill Bream introduced the resolution, a copy of which is attached to these Minutes, Ted seconded the motion, and the council is of a unanimous vote by a show of hands that this resolution be accepted.
Railroad Crossing Petitions: It was suggested that DeWaine be asked to pick up completed petitions in the Oxford area and that all of them be sent to the Board of Supervisors with a cover letter.
Ingham Road Extension: Mr. Neuzil read the letter he wrote to Mr. Ingham on June 12, 1968, which was placed on file. There has been no reply from Mr. Ingham. Mr. Wayne Reed was informed of the necessity to obtain a legal description of the property which will have to be condemned. Removal of the sign from the highway right-of-way was discussed; Mr. Neuzil will write Mr. Ingham concerning this.
Shanty on County property: Mr. Neuzil was informed by the Board of Supervisors that it had been used only for storage for a year and a half.
Dead Trees: Along the highway, the utility company will limb them but won't fall them. It was suggested we write the League of Municipalities to see if there are any available funds for the removal of dead elms.
