Ted Spivey moved, Ned Allen seconded the motion to pay the following bills: All in favor. Tiffin Post Office (plain long stamped envelopes) $9.20 Ia. Elec. Light & Power (sewer plant) 51.98 Ia. Elec. Light & Power (street lights) 49.12 Ia. Municipal Finance Assoc. (dues) 5.00 Ia. City Press Citizen (bid letting-2 times 2-27 & 3-6) 102.63 DeWaine Slade (salary) 204.30 Judy Beckler (collecting sewer) 10.00 Total $432.23 Glenn Potter made a motion to send self-addressed stamped envelopes with the sewer statements and Becklers' wouldn't have to collect sewer payments any more. Ned Allen made a second to this motion. All in favor. The Clerk will order the envelopes. Ned Allen made a motion to appoint Kandy Kobold as the new Town Clerk to replace Gary Bowman who is resigning effective May 1. Ted Spivey seconded the motion. All in favor. Mrs. Kobold will work with the Clerk for the month of April and be paid from the first of April. Gary Bowman suggested that the Town raise the Clerk's salary due to the increased work load. Ned Allen made a motion to raise the Clerk's salary to $30.00 a month on a temporary basis. When the budget comes up the salary will be considered. Dale Flansburg seconded the motion to raise the Clerk's salary. All in favor. The Town Clerk was instructed to call Doctor Rugger and set up a night for rabies vaccination and issuing dog tags.
