Council Room Display Monitors The additional piece to this project would be acquiring a monitoring system for the meetings. This way Council and the public can view who is speaking virtually. We would be looking to adjust the layout of the Council Chambers to ensure efficient use of the space. Optimal screen sizes for the viewing areas where the viewing distance would be about 20-30 feet. The recommendation would be one 85” screen or dual 75” screens mounted on either side of the lectern and angled toward the audience. The same recommendation would be for the Council. Staff has provided some images of the current setup of the chambers and recommended TV placement along with a potential change to the setup. Acquiring multiple displays would be ideal, however staff recommend the purchase of a 85" screen. The one screen will improve the viewing quality of presentation and virtual meeting attendees. Purchasing more monitors will be included in the council chamber’s upgrades project, which would include the purchase of dais furniture and making the appropriate audio/video and electrical upgrades to ensure accessibility for all. 2
