Adjournment – Motion by Gericke and seconded by Weipert to approve Resolution 2011- 12 Award Contract for Mowing Contract for Park and Beautification Areas within the City Limits of Tiffin, Iowa for two years. Mayor Phillips reviewed timeline of events involved in the city acquiring the two resident lots in Timber Ridge Part Two Development. Lot# 31 is now listed for sale at approximately$ 45, 000. Council discussions from March 30, 2011 Work Session reviewed on future of Lot# 48. Residents expressed their displeasure of advertising on Lot# 48 and preliminary decisions made by Council. Inquiries were made on estimated price set on lot. Mayor Phillips explained process of listing lot with realtor to generate interest on lot. Attorney Greenleaf confirmed the process was legal and within the city' s authority to list lot# 48 for sale. Attorney explained that until City Council reaches point to authorize sale of lot, the process' does not require a formal vote by City Council per Iowa Code
