Minutes-9 /20/1978

Tiffin City Council held a special session, September 20, 1978, 7:30 p.m. in City Hall. Mayor Formanek presiding called roll at 7:30 p.m. Council members present: T. Morgan, J. Stratton and R. Sheridan. Absent: G. Potter, D. Madden. D. Smith, B. Bream, D. Flansburg, M. Herdliska, W. Stratton were also present. Meeting purpose was to appoint a zoning commission. Ordinance #56 was read. (Following motions carried unanimously.) Stratton moved to dispense with previous meeting minutes. Morgan seconded. Stratton made motion to appoint the following persons to the zoning commission: B. Bream; D. Flansburg; M. Herdliska; W. Stratton, R. Janssen; Bev Birtcher and a seventh member to be filled by Council. Sheridan seconded. The zoning commission named W. Stratton as Chairman and B. Bream as secretary. The Zoning Commission then acted on a variance presented them by D. Smith. The Commission returned a no recommendation decision back to Council. Stratton made motion to approve the variance presented by D. Smith. Morgan seconded and motion carried unanimously. Motion was made by Morgan to approve a building permit for a garage presented by Marvin Vorel. Stratton seconded and motion carried unanimously. Motion to adjourn at 8:23 p.m. was made by Stratton.
