Wolfe will prepare contract for signature on the October 14th meeting.
Discussion concerning garbage pick up in the Clear Creek Mobile Home Park. Wolfe stated that Scheetz is charged $45.00 per month because Wolfe owns the dumpster in the park. Wolfe recommended that Scheetz do away with the dumpster and instruct residents to get individual trash cans. Wolfe named several trailer courts that have individual trash cans at each trailer. Wolfe stated that he is picking up the trailer court five times per week. He thinks that people from the country are bringing their garbage into the dumpster at the trailer court. It is easier for Wolfe to pick up individual cans once per week. Scheetz stated that he did not want garbage trucks on his road after it is paved. Wolfe stated that Scheetz could buy a dumpster to avoid the monthly charge for rent. Dumpster would cost at least $700.00 Scheetz should tell his residents how to use a dumpster. Formanek stated that city ordinance provides for garbage pick up from trash cans or bags. Scheetz will take it under advisement.
Discussion of street surfacing in Clear Creek Mobile Home Park. Scheetz stated that he would hard surface the street as soon as dike is completed. He stated that he expects to be done before the November 11, 1981 expiration date of his temporary permit from the city to operate the park. Spivey stated that if street was not hard surfaced before permit expired, he would not vote for issuance of new permit.
Scheetz asked to have to item concerning selling of lots in Clear Creek Mobile Home Park deferred until further notice to the clerk.
Discussion of sidewalk on Third Street extension to Clear Creek High School. Formanek reported that the Clear Creek School Board had closed the gate permanently and would open only for emergency. Clerk reported that Superintendent Baker was concerned that cars would park on the street during sporting events and that traffic would bottleneck at the highway. Rohret suggested putting in one-way signs and putting in posts on street and painting walkway designation. Formanek stated that he had asked Brown to put up "dead end - do not enter" sign but it was not yet done. Spivey stated that he had asked Brown to paint a walkway designation on south side of street but it was not yet done. Formanek stated that he told Brown not to paint street because it was closed. Rohret stated that making all cars pull off and onto the highway was dangerous and suggested making Third Street extension one-way, setting poles with chain and designating walkway on south side of street. Rohret could get poles donated. This would be the cheapest way out. Won't work with gate closed. Spivey stated that he would like to see it painted and posted off. Potter stated that he checked with Tom Michel about getting fill dirt from the county. Michel said that it was not policy to give fill dirt to the city, but he will check and get back in two or three days with information. Potter stated that is should be open for fire protection. Spivey stated that he would take care of the matter.
