Minutes of Tiffin City Council Dec. 11, 1985 Council consensus to sponsor lighting contest with first, second and third prizes of $15.00, $10.00 and $5.00. Mayor appointed Jean Flansburg, Mary Nedved and Vicki Keith to judging committee. Motion Spivey second Morgan to approve request by Jim Neuzil, II for building permit for house at 210 Summerhays Street. Roll call vote: Runge, aye; Morgan, aye; Stevens, aye; Spivey, aye; Cox, absent. Motion carried. Consideration of contract with Shive-Hattery postponed until end of meeting because representative was not present. Motion Stevens second Spivey to approve clerk-treasurer's reports. Carried unanimously. Motion Runge second Morgan to approve bills and accept receipts. Carried unanimously. Council instructed clerk to draw up policy resolution concerning who pays for all special meetings of council and city commissions and present at January meeting. Council took into consideration letter from attorney concerning agreement for engineering services. Motion Runge second Stevens to terminate Agreement for Engineering Services with Shive-Hattery Engineering Firm according to terms of contract.
