Mayor Potter declared that Ordinance No. 1986-138 duly passed and adopted. Ordinance No. 138 increases sewer fee by $2.00 per month per unit (one household) effective September 1, 1986. Potter appointed Runge and Stoner to work with clerk on new water rate schedule. Flansburg will go to school board meeting to discuss rental of property north of highway no. 6. Potter reported that Roger Janssen will not provide back-up for utility director after Brown retires and asked if council would train Larry Stratton to do work. Morgan stated that Stratton could do work if Ralph trained him but town should not pay for training at Kirkwood because he could not get certified by the state anyway. Council consensus to approve request by Glenn Potter for Larry Stratton to provide back-up work in any absence of regular grounds maintenance/utility director. Council directed clerk to write letter to Bob Steele informing him that, due lack of funds, City cannot help share cost of correcting drainage problem across high school parking lot.
