Steele: If you do this, we'll continue the curbs all the way to the school and paint a yellow line in between them and on top of them. Potter: For now, the curbs will satisfy the problem. Stratton: Some of ours are broken and some are being used by the well. We need 10-12 more and $23.15 each if we put them seven feet apart. They're seven feet long. Spivey: It's not going to break the town to buy some cement blocks. Morgan: Before we spend the money to widen the street we could see if the school will help and we could get citizen input. I have no objection to putting up the curbs now. Greimer: There's no liability for the city or the school with the curbs. Spivey: Snow removal at the school will be a problem if you go all the way with the blocks. Madden: People feel safer with something between them and the cars. Spivey: This is true. If someone hits a curb, this is a problem, too. Whichever way you want to go is okay with me. Wallace: The number of buses won't change any. Steele: The only change in buses has been they are using Grant Street now. Potter: Most of the traffic goes to and from the school. It's not congested there. Hart: There's no set dimensions on the curbs. Try seven feet apart and if that doesn't work, you can adjust them.
