Hart: I'd have to see the elevations before I'd know what would help. I'll investigate and give a report at the next meeting, or special meeting. Potter: We have lots of help. Many people were from the trailer court. Stoner: Mosquito control might be a problem. Carpenter: You might get assistance from the Johnson County Health Dept. Potter: The Health Dept. helped with water samples. Hart: I was contacted by the Health Dept. There were complaints about the water at trailer no. 6. Herring already had taken a sample. I met the next morning with the Health Dept. The Health Dept. informed people at the court about a free clinic for tatanus shots. I checked the water at the hydrant and found nothing contaminated. There's no chance of contamination unless a line breaks or the water is higher than the elevated storage tank on the hill. Some of the people at the court had concerns. The Health Dept. went inside the units. I took four samples. The biggest complaint was the water was still standing. The mud was the major cleanup concern. Potter: We don't have the tests back. You have to wait for the bacteria to grow. Brown: Could water seep into the pipes inside the trailers? Hart: No. I took the tests from the hydrants. That's not a good method, but it was all I could do. The chlorine residue was above the limit. The rashes reported were from wading in the polluted water, not from drinking the city water. Scheetz: May I go ahead with plans with Mike for this dike? Potter: Any questions? Motion Stoner second Slaymaker to adjourn at 8:25 p.m. Carried unanimously. GLENN R. POTTER, MAYOR ADELIA S. KERN, CLERK-TREASURER
