Tiffin City Council January 14, 1998 Motion Kern, second Bartels to approve contract and authorize the mayor to execute a contract with Connolly Construction, Inc. of Peosta, Ia. (C0455) for Pedestrian (PCC) Trail (STP-E-7662(2)--8V-52) to run along Second, Grant and Third Streets and .39 miles in length at a cost of 75,177.65. Cost share for the city is approximately $17,235. Ayes: Gericke, Walls, Bartels, Ryan and Kern. Motion carried. Hart Engineering is continuing work on the sewer implementation schedule for improvements and on new water tower and well loan application for infrastructure work. Motion Ryan, second Kern to authorize Mayor Potter to sign an application request for $1.2 million state revolving loan to finance water improvements that will be needed in the future. Motion Gericke, second Walls to accept the clerk and treasurer's reports. Ayes: Walls, Gericke, Kern, Bartels, and Ryan. Motion carried. Motion Walls, second Ryan to accept receipts and pay bills.
