Various Meetings: Senior Housing Meeting 6/28/99 ECICOG Angela Williams Chair. Present: Alverta Williams, Thora Rorick, Mayor Potter, Councilperson Jim Bartels, Darla Bartels, Leonard Roggeveen, and Margaret Reihman. Alverta Williams introduced Thora Rorick her co-trustee of her property affairs. Angela Williams explained that a community survey might help Tiffin determine what size project to start. Some communities have indicated great interest in senior projects and then have been unable to fill the new units. Boundary area for a survey were determined by those present. Surveys will be mailed in water bills and hopefully also in some kind of school district mailing. Angela reviewed a sample survey and asked the committee for input on the questions. Jim asked Angela to keep Mrs. Williams informed of all progress on this project as her help was so key to the success of this undertaking. A second meeting is set for 12:30 p.m., Tuesday, July 13th to visit with Des Moines state officials that work in this area.
