MidAmerican has provided a donation of $500.00 for improvement of playground equipment to the city. Alliant Energy has awarded a Branching Out matching grant award of $1,000 in cooperation with Trees Forever for planting of new trees in the city. Motion Ryan, second Gericke to approve a RESOLUTION #2000-2, RESOLUTION CERTIFYING TIF TAXES FOR THE CITY OF TIFFIN. Ayes: Gericke, Dils, Walls, Bartels, and Ryan. Motion carried. Motion Gericke, second Dils to approve Wendler pay order #3 SRF $159,564.26 Ayes: Walls, Bartels, Ryan, Gericke and Dils. Motion carried. Engineer Mike Hart reviewed engineering items of the IDOT sewer line. The engineer will work with IDOT to repair Hw#6 shoulder between Roberts Ferry and Grant Street. JCCOG reports funds of $80,000 for Highway #6 improvements and $30,000 for trail project under the upcoming year Enhancement funds for Tiffin. Greg Schott reported that an occupancy permit has not been approved for 400 Stephens Street to this time. Numerous building items remain incomplete at this location.
