Tiffin City Council March 8, 2000 The regular meeting of the Tiffin City Council was reconvened at 6:56 p.m. by Mayor Glenn R. Potter. Motion Ryan, second Dills to approve a RESOLUTION #2000-3, RESOLUTION APPROVING THE PROPOSED BUDGET ESTIMATE FOR YEAR ENDING 6-30-92, and directing the clerk to file as required by law. Ayes: Walls, Dils, Bartels and Ryan. Motion carried. Motion Ryan, second Dills to approve a RESOLUTION #2000-4, RESOLUTION APPROVING NEW STREET LIGHTS ON THE EAST END OF STETZEL STREET. Ayes: Bartels, Walls, Ryan and Dils. Absent: Gericke. Motion carried. Councilmember Walls left the meeting to attend a special meeting at the Clear Creek High School for discussion of studying a new site for an elementary center. Motion Ryan, second Bartels to approve Wendler pay order #5 SRF $323,458.68. Ayes: Bartels, Dils, Walls, and Ryan. Absent: Walls and Gericke. Motion carried. Motion Dils, second Ryan to defer salary pay increases for employees to the next regular meeting. Ayes: Ryan, Dils, Bartels. Absent: Gericke, and Walls. Motion carried. The morning of May 6, 2000 is the date set for Clean Up Day in Tiffin. April 29 is the date set the city wide Garage Sale Day. No discussion on plastic sewer lines in new construction. Motion Ryan, second Bartels accepting an award from the Greater Iowa City Housing Fellowship for a pre-deveopment grant in the amount of $2,500.00 further study of a elderly housing project for Tiffin. Ayes: Dils, Bartels, and Ryan. Absent: Gericke and Walls. Motion carried. Councilmember Bartels reported the need for a stop sign on Second and Summerhays. Motion Ryan, second Dils to approve the clerk and treasurer's report. Ayes: Dils, Bartels, and Ryan. Absent: Walls and Gericke. Motion carried. Motion Dils, second Ryan to pay bills and accept receipts. Ayes: Ryan, Bartels, and Dils. Absent: Gericke, and Walls. Motion carried. Motion Ryan, second Bartels to adjourn.
