The city cannot afford a city planner , aswell as many other.things, at this time The R-2 lots can also be developed as an' R- 1 area. This development area has been under consideration since the early part of the summer. Berner said he did not feel rushed it a decision at this time. Huedepohl remarked that she had felt that the developers have tried 4 to be diligent in their' attenipt to- consider the concerns of the city, and had tried' to the utmost to create a plan that would be acceptable to city board members. ' Berner also noted that it was pretty much agreed that this area could not be readily used as an R- 1 , area It was 'remarked that it did not appear that the school seemed to know' what it`= wanted soo that even though the site would be optimal for expansive for future planning-,, future school plans, such as recreational ball fields, there could be little case for holding the location' for the school. No official request has been filed with the city to protect the area in planning documents for school or educational use. There` is need to allow growth around the community to help control the per person cost of the presently completed , sewer plant and needed improvements_to city water system.
