Council received bid estimate for city signs, TIFFIN, "Crossroads of the Heartland." The LAWCON federal grant application submitted by Clerk Reihman has received notification of award of $75,000.00 to be used for land acquisition costs of the new park. The LAWCON grant is administered by the Iowa Department of Natural Resources. The Tiffin grant came in fourth in a field of 48 applications. Council received landscaping and sidewalk plans from Roger Hunt of Trees Forever for the fire station, new plans include a sidewalk from the fire station door southward to Second Street. City will present application for annexations on the south end of the city before the City Development Board Thursday, July 12, 2001, 7:00 p.m. at the Clear Creek Amana High School Library. Motion Walls, second Bartels to approve the clerk and treasurer's reports. Ayes: Bartels, Dils and Walls. Absent: Gericke and Ryan. Motion carried. Motion Dils, second Bartels to pay bills and accept receipts. Ayes: Dils, Bartels, and Walls. Absent: Ryan and Gericke. Motion carried. Motion Dils, second Bartels to adjourn.
