Mayor Glenn Potter appointments: Planning and Zoning: Melvin Reeve, Terry Richardson, Steve Berner, Sandy Huedepohl and Mark Petersen. Board of Adjustment: Tina Walls, Mary Body, Betty Madden, Roger Janssen and Kris Morlan. Planning and Zoning has recommended that the city not become involved in a county effort to create a committee for determination placement of communication towers. Motion Walls, second Dils that the city not participate in county planning on location of communications towers of the county. Ayes: Bartels, Dils, Walls, and Shaffer. City council received draft of snow ordinance for review. Motion Bartels, second Walls to place on next regular agenda. Ayes: Bartels, Wall, Dils and Shaffer. Motion carried. Motion Dils, second Bartels to approve a RESOLUTION #2002-2, RELEASING INDIVIDUAL LOTS IN ROLLING HILLS, PART I IN CONJUNCTION WITH AGREEMENTS AND LEASES GRANTING SIDEWALK AND DRAINAGE EASEMENTS. Ayes: Walls, Shaffer, Bartels and Dils. Nays: None. Absent: Gericke. Motion carried. Council considered Resolution for Vacating Sidewalk and Approving Grant of Sidewalk and Drainage Easements, and changing location of Easements in Rolling Hills. Paperwork remains incomplete. No action. City attorney will continue work. Action deferred to next meeting when work is complete. Songbird still working on letter of credit paperwork, and attorney continues work on appropriate amount. Motion Dils, second Shaffer to table maintenance bond or line of credit agreements to next meeting when in proper order for Songbird Estates Part 6,7,8. Ayes: Shaffer, Walls, Dils and Bartels. Absent: Gericke. Motion carried. Brett Mehmen reported completion of fencing between park on Potter and property owned by Rogers. The fencing is wire with wooden posts. Mehmen also reported grass seed work for Stephans Street and Bartels front ditch area where work is complete. Mayor appointments: Bartels remains on Home and Community, Sewer is councilmember Gericke, Water is Dils, Parks is Rodney Walls and Community Protection is Dave Shaffer. Mike Gericke named Mayor Pro Tem. Mayor Potter welcome newest councilmember Dave Shaffer.
