Engineer Hart reported that agreement between Clear Creek Mobile Home Park and IDOT has been reached in the sewer project. Attorney Greenleaf expressed concern for the situation with easement with the Mead family. Greenleaf directed to send information and concern to IDOT to avoid future problems with the easement agreement. Hart reported that flood plain permits and elevation have been approved for the water well project, his firm is now working on a 90-day impact study.
Mayor Potter reported that he had not agreed to a county proposed study of water sources in Johnson County that would cost approximately $723 for Tiffin participation. The cost are prohibitive for Tiffin when we know that we need water source. Tiffin will use the same money to continue water well source work for the community.
Greenleaf reported question on fowl in the city.
Mayor Potter reported that grant work completed by Dils has ranked 5th of 18 for trail way work with the Transportation Enhancement Program allowing $25,000 grant to the city.
Clerk Reihman noted billing to City of Tiffin and notation of letter from Attorney Greenleaf regarding Johnston suit for Third Street near 230 Main. No letter of information came to the clerk in this regard. Greenleaf reported that Mr. Johnston has decided to continue the suit at least for the time being until a building permit has been issued for 230 Main Street. Reihman asked if this continuance might jeopardize the granted variance. The granted variance is contingent on Joe Johnston and his wife Amanda Potterfield releasing all question and claim of city street along the north boundary of 230 Main Street. The variance allows for R2(duplex) zoning at 230 Main, but would not be effective until filed suit has been dropped and street is released to city.
City has received notification of Mediacom cable rate increase.
The mobile hope park has plugged water release valves at the trailer park. No report from Public Works in this regard.
