Mayor Berner opened the public hearing for the Special Exemption & Variance Application Language at 7:15 p.m. Motion Kahler to open, second Petersen. All ayes. Motion carried. Attorney Raiber indicated the amendment is for the Zoning Board of Adjustment Ordinance code needed clarity. No written comments or responses received by city hall. Ireland Avenue Update: Engineer Frederick said the award will go Rathje Construction at $3,148,211.54. The City will award contract once receive the packet from IADOT. Bid came in almost $800,000 over budget. Public Works Director Mehmen discussed the need for a back-up generator at the sewer plant. The estimate will be over $100,000 with pumps and blowers.
