However, the first 10-15 minutes the Mayor would like to discuss again the possibility of pursuing a second entrance to the park and a frontage road to the property west of Throttle Down.
• On Tuesday we had a meeting with Metro Pavers about Trail Phase 5 and the ponding water. The meeting went relatively well and a walk-through was performed on Wednesday. Attached is a summary e-mail from Ben Carhoff.
• I’m hoping everyone had a chance to look at the driveway and yard of Diane Hummel at 121 Grant Street. How does the council wish to proceed?
• Woodruff Construction continues to work at the Tennis Courts. Outside of a few minor clean-up items, most of the work at the three other parks has been completed. Please see the attached Progress Report from HBK.
• Brett has ordered the Holiday Banners for the new light poles. Please see the attached examples.
• Just to confirm what I’ve talked to each of you about in reference to some extra meetings and Special City Council Meetings this month. Wednesday, November 2nd at 5:30 p.m. is the special meeting to discuss the Hunt Club Project and the extension of Village Drive with Darryl High. Wednesday, November 9th at 7:00 p.m. is the Tiffin Nature Trail Good Neighbor Meeting at the STEM building (CCA Middle School) to discuss and seek input on the Nature Trail or what the City originally called the Timber Ridge Trail. The Student Public Relations Committee will be running this meeting and has invited the Mayor and City Council to attend. Wednesday, November 16th at 6:00 p.m. is the special meeting to discuss the progress and process to proceed for Park Place. Lastly, either Wednesday, December 7th or Thursday, December 8th is the date in which we are planning for the Joint Meeting with CCA School Board.
• I received an e-mail from the Lego Robotics coach from CCA Middle School requesting to present their research project to the City Council. Presenting their project to a group is a requirement for a competition they are attending in December. The presentation will only take 5-8 minutes and is on the composting and recycling of pet waste. I’ve scheduled them to present to the council during the first part of the work session at the November 15th council meeting.
• As a result of the discussion at the last council meeting, attached is an updated map of the City’s Urban Renewal Areas or TIF Map.
• One thing I forgot to mention at the last council meeting was the return of the City’s Newsletter. I would like to brief the council on the new format and method of distribution.
