Roll Call The City Council ofthe City ofTiffin, Johnson County, Iowa, met inawork session September 5,2017 at5:50p.m.Mayor Steve Berner called themeeting toorder. Upon rollbeing called the following named council members were present: AlHavens, JoKahler, Peggy Upton, Mike Ryan (Arrived @6:00PM), JimBartels. Also present: City Administrator/Clerk Doug Boldt, Deputy City Clerk Ashley Platz, City Engineer Ben Carhoff, City Attorney Crystal Raiber and other visitors. B. Agenda Additions/Agenda Approval Motion toapprove agenda byKahler. Second byBartels. Allayes, motion carried. C. Discussion ofPedestrian Sidewalk/Tunnel Redesign Project Doug Bold gave council anupdate with thePedestrian Tunnel anddiscussions with IDOT. Council discussed the option todirecting Hart-Frederick towork withIDOT andStaff todesign thewalkway thatthe IDOT willapprove. Mike Ryan arrived at6:00PM. D. Discussion and Update onTrail Phase 5 Trail Phase 5update from Doug Boldt. Thefixthat AeroSaw attempted did notcorrect the ponding issues. Doug hascontacted Iowa Wall Sawing todiscuss thesituation andwhat remedy they canpropose. E. Discussion and Update onTraffic Signal Project atIreland Avenue and Highway 6 Discussion: Reviewed thedesign presented forthe Traffic Signal Project. Discussion regarding theadditional right ofway forthetraffic signal pole bases. F. Discussion and Demonstration from NewCom Technologies (GIS) Ken Demlow andJimPetro with NewCom Technologies presented anddemonstrated their GIS software. Motion toadjourn byRyan.
