A complaint was made about the large signs on the pole in front of Frank's Station which obstruct the view of drivers approaching the highway on Roberts Terry Road, so that they must pull out so far to look east that vehicles turning on to Roberts Ferry Road from the highway are unable to safely make the turn. Frank will be notified.
Glenn reported on a proposal he investigated from Jones-Herriott for the town to buy gasoline by the tank. The company would furnish a 110-gallon tank at no charge, including hose, stand and would sell us this gas for 18.4¢ per gallon plus 6¢ state tax which would be refunded. The insurance company stated that no extra fire insurance coverage would be necessary if the tank were located at least 25 feet from the building. After discussion, it was decided that Glenn will talk to Frank and George Demory about the town purchasing gas from them at a competitive price instead of arranging for the 110-gallon tank. In any case, we shall get the forms for the tax refund.
Plans were made for tentative use of the analyzer the following weekend. It was suggested that Harold Vesely and Bill Bream be deputized if they are available.
Bill moved, Wayne seconded the motion that the meeting adjourn.
Margie O'Doole
Town Clerk
