Minutes of Special Meeting, July 21, 1965, Discussion of Water System
Present: Glenn Potter, Ted Spivey, Bill Bream, Bill Verry, Wayne Stratton Wayne Reed and 20 or 30 townspeople.
Mr. Reed explained the system and answered a number of questions, as did Mayor O'Toole. It was emphasized that, unlike a sewer system, everyone is NOT required to hook up to a water system. It was explained that the system of financing would be with revenue bonds, and the proposed monthly rental fees based on different numbers of hook-ups were read from the engineer's preliminary plan.
Bill Verry moved, Bill Bream seconded the motion to renew Frank's Service cigarette permit. Carried.
