REPORT OF CANVASSING BOARD OF SPECIAL ELECTION OF LEGAL ELECTORS OF THE TOWN OF TIFFIN, IOWA HELD JUNE 11, 1968 The undersigned, Mayor and Clerk of the Town of Tiffin, Johnson County, Iowa, have canvassed the Return of Judges of Election of the Special Election held in said town on the 11th day of June 1968, for the purpose of submitting to the Legal Electors of said Town the following public measure: Shall the Town of Tiffin, Iowa, grant a gas franchise to Iowa-Illinois Gas and Electric Company, its successors and assigns, in accordance with Ordinance No. 59, passed by the Town Council of said Town on the 2nd day of May 1968, and hereby reports that the results of said election were as follows: <table> <tr> <th> </th> <th> </th> </tr> <tr> <td>Number of votes cast</td> <td>129</td> </tr> <tr> <td>Number of votes cast for the proposition</td> <td>126</td> </tr> <tr> <td>Number of votes cast against the proposition</td> <td>2</td> </tr> <tr> <td>Ballots spoiled</td> <td>1</td> </tr> <tr> <td>Ballots blank</td> <td>0</td> </tr> </table> Therefore, we find and declare the public measure was carried.
