Design Services If authorized by the City, the selected firm may be retained to provide architectural and engineering services through the design and construction phases, including: • Schematic design. • Design development. • Construction documents. • Architectural services. • Civil engineering. • Structural engineering. • Mechanical engineering. • Electrical engineering. • Plumbing design. • Fire protection systems. • Communications and technology coordination. • Landscape architecture, if appropriate. • Surveying. • Geotechnical coordination. • Code and accessibility review. • Energy-efficiency considerations. • Permitting assistance. • Construction cost estimating. Bidding and Construction Administration If authorized by the City, depending on the construction project delivery method or procurement approach selected, additional services may include: • Preparation of bidding documents. • Assistance with advertising and bidding. • Response to bidder questions. • Addenda. • Bid evaluation. • Recommendation for award. • Construction administration. • Construction observation. • Review of pay applications. • Change order review. • Submittal review. • Project meetings. • Punch-list development. • Final inspection. • Project closeout. 6
