M-8 - Deer View Traffic Request
Text read by the vision model; check the PDF for anything that matters.deputy told me they knew who he is, they put the speed signs up for a week and talked to him and I haven't seen him since.
• I have seen a neighbors wife (has since moved away as the street was too busy) try to pull out of her driveway and a speeding truck almost hit her and then honked his horn at her like it was her fault.
• I have seen and confronted a teenage driver who blew the four-way stop and then sped past the park. I talked to him about it at the traffic light and he admitted fault.
Possible solutions: (some of these won't be feasible and I understand that; I'm just trying to give ideas that could be put into a specific plan)
• Reduce speed on Deer View to 15 MPH.
• Install permanent speed check signs like on the Ireland extension.
• Extend Doe ave, Dakota Avenue and Buck Street on the land the school district owns out to highway 6.
• Install traffic calming measures like speed humps, chicanes, or traffic circles.
• Move the Little Clippers daycare on Deer View to another location.
• Encourage people to take Roberts Ferry Road somehow.
• Extend Oakdale.
• Install more stops signs, there is only one stop sign on Deer View.
• Install speed cameras and stop sign cameras.
• Post a police car every day during the busy times.
Thanks,
Nathan Halbrooks
