Motion to amend chapter 35.06 paragraph three, the city council shall consider the appointment and the removal of the members of the fire department members. The fire chief shall submit a recommendation for the appointment or removal of a member of the fire department. Adding this language to the end of 35.04, existing members of the fire department have until June 30, 2026 by Limkemann. Second by Schnedler. All ayes, motion carried. Motion to approve as amended Ordinance No. 2021-477 – An Ordinance to Amend the Municipal Code of Tiffin, Iowa, Chapter 35, Fire Protection, to Create a City of Tiffin Fire Department by Limkemann.
