300 Railroad St. PO Box 259 Tiffin, IA 52340 P. 319-545-2572 F. 319-545-4147 www.tiffin-iowa.org PROCLAMATION BY THE MAYOR OF THE CITY OF TIFFIN EARTH DAY WHEREAS, Earth Day is celebrated annually on April 22nd to raise awareness about environmental issues and encourage actions that protect our planet; and, WHEREAS, the City of Tiffin is committed to promoting sustainability, environmental stewardship, and the well-being of our community; and, WHEREAS, a clean and healthy environment is essential for the quality of life of all residents, and it is our collective responsibility to care for our natural surroundings; and, WHEREAS, the Earth Day Clean-up Challenge provides an opportunity for residents to come together, foster community spirit, and take proactive steps to improve the cleanliness and beauty of our neighborhoods; and, WHEREAS, the City of Tiffin encourages all residents, businesses, and organizations to participate in the Earth Day Clean-up Challenge or any Earth Day activity to demonstrate their commitment to environmental protection and community pride; and, WHEREAS, the City of Tiffin has partnered with the Tiffin Community Fund to celebrate Earth Day by hosting the Earth Day Clean-up Challenge, at City Hall on Saturday, April 19, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.; and, WHEREAS, the Earth Day Clean-up Challenge will enhance the look and feel of your neighborhood and clean environments foster a sense of belonging and pride among residents; and, WHEREAS, through these efforts, we can reduce waste, prevent pollution, and create a more sustainable and vibrant community for current and future generations, NOW, THEREFORE, I, Tim Kasparek, Mayor of the City of Tiffin, do hereby proclaim April 22, 2025, as Earth Day and encourage all residents to participate in the Earth Day Cleanup Challenge on Saturday, April 19, 2025.
