AGENDA ITEM # K-2 AGENDA INFORMATION TIFFIN CITY COUNCIL COMMUNICATION DATE: July 25, 2025 AGENDA ITEM: Consideration of Pay Estimate #7 – Rathje Construction, Original Town Urbanization Project ACTION: Motion Project Overview The City of Tiffin is continuing work on the Original Town Urbanization – Phase 3 project, which includes significant infrastructure improvements such as storm sewer installation, water main upgrades, paving, sidewalk construction, and erosion control measures. The project is being completed by Rathje Construction, with engineering oversight provided by Hart-Frederick Consultants P.C. Pay Estimate Summary Pay Estimate #7 has been submitted by Rathje Construction Co. for work completed through June 30, 2025. The estimate has been reviewed and certified by the project engineer. The contractor’s progress is reported to be on schedule, and the work has been performed in accordance with the contract documents. Recommendation Staff recommends approval of Pay Estimate #7 in the amount of $310,869.13 to Rathje Construction Co. for work completed on the Original Town Urbanization Phase 3 project. This payment reflects continued progress on excavation, storm sewer installation, water main work, paving, and other site improvements.
