PARK PLACE EAST OF NORTH PARK ROAD DRAINAGE STUDY
Existing conditions modeling has been completed and preliminary results sent to the City and Bishop on
August 22. Results indicate that the Pinseekers Pond, with the approved outlet, should be held to a 100-yr
outflow of 79.13 cfs. The Homemakers Pond should be held to a 100-yr outflow of 397.60 cfs (as per its
agreement with the City based on the 2017 report) plus 60.95 cfs for the School Pond once they are
combined, for a total outflow of 458.55 cfs. In existing conditions, the Homemakers Pond is outletting
258.59 cfs due to the current outlet structure configuration.
Next steps include looking at upsizing the Pinseekers Pond to maximize storage and minimize outflow to
the Homemakers Pond and assessing a reroute of flows from N Park Road to the regional detention basins
to the west on Oakdale Blvd. MSA will continue to give preliminary results as each of the options are
evaluated. Once the analysis is complete, a report will be drafted which details the process and results of
each alternative.
