CITY OF TIFFIN CITY ADMINISTRATOR REPORT TO THE CITY COUNCIL December 12, 2025 • Item I-1 – This resolution starts the permanent financing process for the recreation center. This will follow the same financing process the City did for the public works facility and the North Park Road project. • Work continues to progress nicely for the recreation center. The building continues to go vertical with more steel beams being erected every day. Please see Miron’s monthly project update report under item L-4. • The Special Census field representatives arrived this week along with the site supervisor. As you all know, they are occupying the council chambers as their office. We have not been given a specific timeline yet for the field work to begin but with representatives now here, we expect that work to be starting soon. • Brian Shay will distribute his annual report at the meeting Tuesday night. • I would like to propose having a condensed version of our normal goal setting session on January 6, 2026, as part of the regular work session. With major capital projects already in the pipeline for the next five years, I would like to focus on some smaller, potential additional projects the City could undertake as long as we can find funding sources for them. Please let me know if January 6th will work for you. I will be sending out a survey within the next week. • Attached is the proposed budget calendar and schedule for the upcoming budget process. Most of these dates coincide with council meetings but as we have had to do in previous years, please be prepared for a special city council meeting(s) to be able to complete the budget. • Just a friendly reminder of the holiday schedule for City Hall: Closed on Wednesday, December 24th and Thursday, December 25th. Closed on Wednesday, December 31st and Thursday, January 1st.
