RESOLUTION NO. 2025- 055 A RESOLUTION SETTING THE DATE OF JUNE 3, 2025, FOR A PUBLIC HEARING TO INCREASE THE WATER RATE STRUCTURE FOR THE CITY OF TIFFIN, FOR THE WATER TREATMENT PLANT UPGRADE PROJECT Whereas, the City of Tiffin, Iowa will be upgrading its Water Treatment Plant to a reverse osmosis system and to accommodate current and future growth of the City; and,. Whereas, a water rate structure increase will be necessary to pay for the cost of the upgrade. Now, therefore be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Tiffin, Iowa, to set the date of June 3, 2025, for a public hearing to discuss and amend the water base rate and user rate charge ordinance. On the 20th day of May, 2025, at a regular meeting of the Tiffin City Council, Tiffin, Iowa, Councilperson Havens introduced RESOLUTION NO. 2025- 055,A RESOLUTION SETTING THE DATE OF JUNE 3, 2025, FOR A PUBLIC HEARING TO INCREASE THE WATER RATE STRUCTURE FOR THE CITY OF TIFFIN, FOR THE WATER TREATMENT PLANT UPGRADE PROJECT and made a motion for approval. Motion seconded by Councilperson Orris. Ayes: Schnedler, Limkemann, Havens, Orris, Olney. Nays: None. Absent: None. Whereupon five Council members present and voted approval and Mayor were Kasparek declared that the RESOLUTION NO. 055, 2025- A RESOLUTION SETTING THE DATE OF JUNE 3, 2025, FOR A PU LIC HEARING TO INCREASE THE WATER RATE STRUCTURE FOR THE CITY OF TIFFIN, FOR THE WATER TREATMENT PLANT UPGRADE PROJECT to be adopted and signified his approval of the same by affixing his signature thereto.
