RESOLUTION NO. 2024- 068 A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE HIRE OF AN ASSISTANT CITY ADMINISTRATOR Whereas, the City Council of the City of Tiffin, Iowa, approved a job description and authorized the advertising for an Assistant City Administrator' s position at the July 16, 2024, City Council Meeting; and, Whereas, initial interviews for the position were held the week of September 9, 2024; and, Whereas, final interviews were held October 2, 2024; and, Whereas, the interviewing and selection committee would like to make a recommendation for the position for City Council Approval, Now, therefore be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Tiffin, Iowa, to approve the hire of Gene Gettys as the Assistant City Administrator with a starting salary of 500,effective no later than December 2, 2024. 107, On the 15th day of October, 2024, at a regular meeting of the Tiffin City Council, Tiffin, Iowa, Councilperson Orris introduced RESOLUTION NO. 2024- 068,A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE HIRE OF AN ASSISTANT CITY ADMINISTRATOR and made a motion for approval. Motion seconded by Councilperson Schnedler. Ayes: Limkemann, Havens, Orris, Olney, Schnedler. Nays: None. Absent: None. Whereupon five Council members were present and voted approval and Mayor Kasparek declared that the RESOLUTION NO. 2024- 068,A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE HIRE OF AN ASSISTANT CITY ADMINISTRATOR to be adopted and signified his approval of the same by affixing his signature thereto.
